WE VALUE EDUCATION
Instead of pushing a product or service, we believe in education. We give our clients all of the options so they can make the best possible decision for their home. We empower our clients during the entire process, and we function together as a team.
WE BELIEVE IN CONNECTION
From the initial consultation, our clients become a part of our work family. Establishing a meaningful relationship with each client and creating beautiful, functional design is more important to us than being a high volume builder.
WE HAVE ONE DEDICATED TEAM
With Harmony Group Design-Build, our dedicated team of craftspeople installs and builds your entire project, so you don't have to find or schedule multiple contractors. We don't love the term, but it is the truth: we are a one-stop-shop.
WE DELIVER QUALITY
Our installation team is highly critical of their work, and they will spend as much time as needed to get the job done right - not just “good enough." Our team takes pride in every project we complete, and it shows.
OWNER KRISTEN BOOKS
Kristen grew up in a century old log cabin with a do-it-yourself father. Living in a constant state of remodel, she learned a lot from the improvements and additions her father made to the home throughout her childhood.
Construction seemed to be a natural fit for Kristen. Not only does she enjoy the process of design, but she also loves the challenge of the build. She looks at space - no matter how large or small - as a 3D puzzle that needs to be solved, and places a huge emphasis on function.
Kristen is experienced, creative, and a joy to work with. In her spare time, she enjoys tending chickens, expanding her culinary skills, and raising good humans.
PARTNER ED CHAMBERLIN
Ed started learning about the construction industry from his father at a very young age. In 1972, they went into business together along with his brothers as Chamberlin & Sons. Throughout his career, he has built hundreds of homes in Central PA.
With decades of new construction and remodel experience, Ed has the detailed skill to tackle any project. From cabinetry to flooring to lighting and everything in between, Ed is an expert craftsman who loves both traditional and modern design.
When he’s not remodeling kitchens and renovating bathrooms, Ed loves to travel north to Canada and spend time his wife of 40 years, two daughters and three grandchildren.
